ABOUT THE INSTITUTES
Swami Vivekananda Institute of Management & Computer Science are non-profit-mailing have been set up to promote the Technological and professional institutions of high standards and to encourage research and training activities so that the students conferred with the degree can overcome not only the professional challenges but also all the challenges life has to offer confidently.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

UG Program: BBA /BCA / B. Sc in Hospitality & Hotel Administration / B. Sc in Media Science / BTTM : Candidates should clear 10+2 / Higher Secondary / Sr. Secondary Examination with any stream from any recognized board . B. Sc (H) in Microbiology /B. Sc (H) in Biotechnology : Candidates should clear 10+2 / Higher Secondary / Sr. Secondary Examination with Physics, Chemistry , Biology/ Mathematics from any recognized board. PG Program: M. Sc in Media Science : Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university/institute. M. Sc in Computer Science: Candidates must have three year BCA or three years Honours Graduate (Computer Science/Appropriate disciplines or Engineering graduates, Mathematics/Physics/ Appropriate discipline) M. Sc in Biotechnology: B. Sc in any discipline of Life Science, Bio-Sciences or Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Veterinary and fishery science, Pharmacy or Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of surgery of Bachelor of Dental surgery or equivalent examination . MBA: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university/institute. Must have a valid rank/score in one of the following entrance exams: MAT (AIMA) / WB-JE MAT (WBUT) / AMPAI-WB.

CENTRAL LIBRARY

The Library is advanced and well equipped. The library is semi computerized from its inception. A wild variety of text books, hand books and national & international journals are available in the reference Section.

Book bank facility is available to all the students. E-journal facility is also available providing competitive edge to the students and staff.

INFRASTRUCTURE

The college is built in a sprawling campus of 302 decimal of land amidst a quite ambience best suited for higher education. The College has spacious building for class room, workshops and laboratories.

FACULTY MEMBERS

The institute has a team of dedicated, experienced and highly qualified faculty members as per the norms of AICTE & MAKAUT (WBUT). Other than 96 regular full-time faculties , visiting faculties from J.U, BESU visit the campus to share their valuable experience with students to enrich them for all round development to become a successful professional .

SOFT SKILL TRAINING

A team of dedicated and experienced persons are involved in the soft skill training of the students of the Institute for their all round development and placement.
