VISION

The Institute is driven to provide excellent educational opportunities that are responsive to the needs of our economically backward students, mostly educated through vernacular mediums and hail from rural areas, to transform them to meet and surpass the challenges of our nation’s growing socioeconomic and technical demands.

INFRASTRUCTURE

The college is built on a sprawling campus of 5.06 acre of land amidst a quiet ambience which also has a pond so that natural ecological balance is maintained. The college has spacious building with total area of 14121 Square meters.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

B. Tech : Regular 1st year Admission : Candidates should clear 10+2 / Higher Secondary / Sr. Secondary Examination or equivalent courses from any recognized board with minimum 45% marks (Physics, Chemistry , Mathematics & English) in aggregate and should be a valid rank holder of WBJEE / JEEMAINS. B. Tech : 2nd year (Lateral Entry) Admission : Candidates must be either:
a.Diploma Holder in Engineering from an AICTE-approved institute with a minimum of 45% marks.
b.B.Sc. Degree holder from a UG Recognized university with a minimum of 45% marks.
c.Must have a valid rank in JELET (conducted by WBJEEB). MBA: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university/institute. Must have a valid rank/score in one of the following entrance exams: MAT (AIMA) / WB-JE MAT (WBUT) / AMPAI-WB. Diploma: Candidates must pass 10th pass with at least 35% from a recognized Board/Council. Must have studied English, Physical Science/Science, and Mathematics. Valid JEXPO rank (conducted by WBSCT&VESD).

CENTRAL LIBRARY

The institution has computerized library with Book bank facility for the students. Latest National and International periodicals along with reference books are available for the students for lending and reference.

Reading room along with a seating capacity of 120 students is available. There are about 52209 volumes with 2167 titles, along with International journals, National journals & E-journals in the Library.

Book Bank facility is extended to all keeping in mind the humble financial background of majority students. 6 to 8 books are provided in every semester so that they do not need to buy any books.

FACULTY MEMBERS

The institute has a team of dedicated, experienced and highly qualified faculty members as per the norms of AICTE & MAKAUT (WBUT). Other than 96 regular full-time faculties , visiting faculties from J.U, BESU visit the campus to share their valuable experience with students to enrich them for all round development to become a successful professional .

TRAINING & PLACEMENT CELL

The college has a separate dedicated and highly motivated Training and Placement Cell which is headed by experienced professionals.

The Training and Placement Cell guides and helps the students in industrial training, securing jobs by organizing on campus, pooled campus, off campus interviews. The T&P Cell also arranges Internship and Industry visit.
